Overview
Query Builder is a tool that allows you to execute custom queries with Localytics. If there is something you want to report on that isn't available in a pre-made report, try Query Builder to create a customized report.
Running a Query
The Query Builder is just a quick and easy way to access the Localytics Query API. For more information on the Query API, check out our developer docs.
To access the Query Builder, scroll down to the bottom of any dashboard page, and choose Query Builder from the footer. Alternatively, you can follow this handy link if you're already logged in.
This will take you to the Query Builder page.
Here you'll be able to build query reports based on the Apps, Metrics, Dimensions, and date range (at the top). For example, you may want to report on User (Metric) by Day and Acquisition Source (Dimensions), from January 1 to January 31 (Date Range) for all apps (Apps).
Fill in the builder to your specifications, and hit Submit Query. You'll see the results listed once the query finishes. Keep in mind, depending on the complexity (or broadness) of your query, this task might take a little while.

Use Cases
Consider using Query Builder to:
Generate custom reports that query across multiple apps or query for multiple metrics in a single report. For example, query for all Users and Sessions across all apps.
Generate custom reports that split by more than one Dimension. For example, Users by Country and Acquisition Source.
